I’m a bit tired from a good single-track mountain bike ride, sipping on a Sierra Nevada Torpedo while the sounds of The Who’s Tommy blares through the Adventure Mobile’s nine-speakers sound system (“Underture” to be exact, a nice 10 minute epic classic rock tune that probably had more thought behind it than necessary, but definitely eligible for the five star playlist on my iPod from where it came). A smirk plays its way into the left corner of my mouth.<br/><br/>Am I a bit loopy from the combination of exercise, cold beer, and sunshine, or am I simply reaching that point in my life where I really start appreciating the little things?<br/><br/>The thoughts behind my sunglasses are of elation, content, and how the hell did I get here? I have a beautiful patient wife, a perfect daughter who keeps us on our toes but impresses us regularly, I get to live in a comfortable home in Northern Michigan with all the bells and whistles a not-so-young-anymore couple could have, a job that is equal parts challenging and rewarding, good friends who tolerate my quirkiness, and a sweet car with an ass-kicking stereo system. <br/><br/>How much have I influenced all this? Am I worthy of it?
